Security gates:
G & L Fencing manufactures and installs any type of security gates from standard sliding gates, swing gates and special designs to match your requirements that will operate in all kinds of terrain and conditions. Additionally all sliding and swing gates can be automated and fitted with intercoms.

Standard sliding gates:
The size of the bottom beam is crucial in the design to ensure that a gate is straight. We manufacture sliding gates with two sizes of bottom beams:
1. 150x100mm for gates 0-6m long.
2. 200x100mm for gates 6m – 20m.
3. Gate wheels are machined to 150mm diameter as smaller diameter wheels are ineffective with automated gates. The rate of wear and tear is also higher.
4. Two types of gate tracks are used. The koekepan type of track is used for tracks that will be exposed to heavy vehicles and 50x8mm track for light-medium vehicles.

Special sliding gates:
G & L Fencing can manufacture sliding gates to special designs to create:
1. Double sliding gates.
2. Stacked sliding gates.
3. Self-support gates with no track
4. Top support gates.

Swing gates:
We manufacture a standard range of bar type gates with a maximum height of 3 metres and total width of 9 metres.

Palisade gates:
Palisade gates are manufactured to a maximum width of 2.4 metres.

Automated electric gates:
Automated electric gates are an effective way to ensure the security of private residential or commercial premises.
Installation of gates and the electric gate kits is also becoming very cost effective. Automated gates are classed as machines and G & L Fencing takes great care when installing these gates to ensure the operational safety. Automated gates also need regular maintenance.
